got back from the states, and spent my new years weekend in bed. I've had food poisoning before, but this one was the most awful. I've also traveled to internationally before, such as Mexico, Italy, Germany, China, Taiwan, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Aruba, etc. I've never been as sick as in this trip. Something is wrong with this island, despite it's beauty. Maybe it's the water. Would never go back.

After arriving in resort and feeling unwell after 3 days I sort advice from the hotel doctor who treated me for a stomach bug using IV drip & antibiotics and was told it would be better in 24 hours. Guess what...... still I’ll 48 hours later so

the doctor sent me to the hospital and I was diagnosed with a parasite infection and later an abscess caused by the diarrhoea which required 5 days in hospital & surgery! Moral of the story don’t eat the salad as it maybe washed in local water which is where we were told you can catch the parasite.

my husband felt sickly went we went to the dinner buffet called Isabella. He said he thhought maybe the burger he had at lunch may have been bad. He did not eat dinner. About an hour later he became VIOLENTLY ill. It passed within 3-4 hours. He felt better by the next, just he got sick

We all got some sort of food/drink related illness but by far my son got it worse. He was sick the whole time. But after returning is still sick, down 47 lbs between January and April. Blood work is all over the place. Has had two hospitalizations!

the entire night by the toilet vomiting. If I took so much as a sip of water it came right back up. I was vomiting every 10 to 20 minutes until 7:30 am and I still haven't been able to eat anything. I can't say exactly what made me sick but I did eat at the buffet often and did have mixed drinks by the pool. I know that I did not get sick from home because the only thing I ate here before my symptoms started was a frozen pizza. I had a great time on my vacation but I will never ever ever go back due to how sick I got. I have never felt so awful in all of my life.
