I ordered the 12oz ribeye last night, MR. It came rare and with a light pink tab which I assume based on how it was undercooked it was actually rare. Knowing covid is ongoing and the fact you don’t mess with ppl who cook your food behind... See More closed doors, I didn’t say anything. I ate half of it but knowing the flavor was very off as it was watery and had little beef flavor. I figured it was attributed to the defrosting process as it tasted like someone ran it under straight hot water before throwing it in stove for 2mins. I began my drive home 45 mins away and as soon as I arrived, I had diarrhea and cramps bad. It subsided after a few hours so I thought it might’ve been something different that caused it. I attempted to eat the other half this morning and only got a few bites in and still couldn’t stand it but didn’t want to waste my money either. See More undeclared sesame seed, coconut, soy, wheat, milk, and egg. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to specific sesame seed, coconut, soy, wheat, milk and egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Pan de Racho, Panque, and Pan Surtido were distributed in Iowa and Wisconsin by direct delivery to retail stores. We have had no illnesses reported to date.
Pan de Racho can be identified by individually packed and it contains sesame seeds and colorful pink color stripes, and it’s packed in a clear plastic bag and label. Panque is in a clear plastic bag individually packed and labeled. Flan,Chocoflan and Tres Leches are packed in clear container and labeled Pan Surtido is Identified in metal trays. The product has been delivered by direct delivery thru November 28,2023.
These products would be suspended until Lara’s Bakery is certain that the problem has been corrected.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing sesame, coconut, soy, wheat, milk, and eggs were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of these allergens. The product had already been distributed to retail stores in the state of Iowa and Wisconsin.
