Chicken Burrito Bowl Illness - Chipotle Mexican Grill, New York New York

7 years ago reported by user-bdyym357 business

Chipotle Mexican Grill, West 34th Street, New York, NY, USA

304 West 34th Street, New York, 10001 New York, United States

I had a chicken burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, sour cream, salsa, corn, and lettuce around 6PM on Monday, May 1st. After eating it, I felt extremely bloated and just believed I had eaten too fast. However the bloatness wouldn’t go away and my stomach started to hurt around 10-11PM. I felt very uncomfortable and it was not until the next morning, I felt the symptoms: constant diarrhea and stomach pains. These symptoms lasted for hours; I became very dehydrated and weak. I did not want to eat as I had felt nauseous. I finally went to see a doctor that late afternoon as soon as I felt I did not have to go to the bathroom that frequently and she told me I definitely have a bacterial infection from the food I ate (Chipotle). I was given antibiotics, antidiarrheal, stomach acid and relaxant medicine: Loperamide, Dicyclomine, Omeprazole and Ciprofloxacin. This was honestly the worst food poisoning experience I’ve ever had. No more Chipotle for me ever again. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Weakness, Stomach Pain, Dehydration, Bloating
