According to the department's Inspection Violations Report, the restaurant, located at 760 Tucker Road, Suite B, was found to have live cockroaches in the food preparation area by the dishwasher. In addition, cockroaches were observed exiting from the ceiling tiles.
Other violations included food... debris observed on the walls, floors, under equipment, in between fryers and on food contact surfaces throughout the facility.

The Burger Spot in Tehachapi has been shut down after a failed health inspection.
The restaurant received a 66% during its inspection on August 28. During the inspection, inspectors found live cockroaches in the food prep area. The Burger Spot also did not have a required food... prep sink. According to the inspection report, the kitchen and food prep area flooring needs to be replaced, and a back flow system must be installed.
The Sonic Drive-In on Valley Boulevard in Tehachapi was closed by county health inspectors Monday who found vermin feces, improper plumbing and cleanliness issues, according to the health inspection report.
The report stated that vermin feces were found in storage areas and on the floor beneath wire... storage racks. The report stated, "Observed a buildup of grime, grease and debris throughout the complete facility. Under each movable unit and on the equipment."
Old Towne Pizza on Brian Way in Tehachapi was forced to close its doors Tuesday following an inspection from the Kern County Department of Public Health. Officials found rodent droppings on pizza boxes, utensils, and food preparation equipment, according to the inspection report.
Inspectors also found "observed... unnecessary litter and debris" that "may harbor vermin."
