Onset: 4 to 12 hours
Duration: 12 to 24 hours | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Headache
Chickpeas, like other nuts and legumes, could be the culprit of food poisoning. In 2017, crackers made from chickpeas were recalled due to contamination of Listeria. Listeria can be especially harmful to pregnant women, people over the age of 65, and those with weakened immune systems.
