Suspected source: Five or six times, vomited after eating Millville crunchy granola Raisin Bran. I’ve eaten this for breakfast most mornings for months with no problem. On six consecutive mornings I vomited after breakfast. I use water, not milk. I thought... See More it could be the lemon juice. It might have been stale, so I cut it cut it out. The next morning I vomited again and concluded it must be the instant coffee that I’d been drinking with breakfast. I vomited anyway. This experimentation happened a couple more times. Each time, the experience was severe. I would have to lie down on the kitchen floor for 30 minutes to recover. There were a few days gap when I ate no Raisin Bran Crunch, and of course, no vomiting. Then, the last episode, when I consumed only Millville Raisen Bran Crunch from Aldi’s. All of the events were with water. I never use milk. All of the cereal boxes came from Aldi’s in Florissant, MO. My wife consumed it and still does with no consequences. Each of my episodes were telegraphed by a mild heat-flush. The vomiting would last, it seemed, until every last bit of it was expelled. For now, I’m thinking it is a food allergy, similar to one I have for salmon.
Onset: Ten to 15 minutes.
Duration: About a week, until I quite eating it.
Sick: Just me. Not my wife who ate the stuff from the same box.
Additional information: I think it might be something in the crunchy rather than the bran. But I’m done with experimenting. 😝I don’t think it was food poisoning.? Was it Raisin Bran Crunch or regular Raisin Bran. There is a difference!! I assume Crunch because here in Northern Colorado I haven't been able to get get regular Raisin Bran at Sams Club or WalMart for several months. I have not gone looking for it in all the local stores but have not seen it in months. Raisin Bran Crunch has a different smell and something is different about it. It causes me to feel slightly nauseated and I had to give away the box I bought by mistake recently. Crunch is just bad for some of us. Kellogg's need to make regular R.B. available.

These products were shipped to retail locations nationwide in USA. There have been no confirmed reports of... See More adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.
The affected products are:
- 2.71-oz. plastic tray packages containing “PRIVATE SELECTION SNACK BOARD SMOKED DRY CURED RED WINE SALAMI” with lot code 11110900408 and Best By dates of “APR 10 2023” and “APR 18 2023”.
- 3-oz. plastic tray packages containing “GREENFIELD NATURAL MEAT CO. SMOKED UNCURED PEPPERONI” with lot code 63100268821 and Best By date “APR 03 2023”.
- 2.9-oz. plastic tray packages containing “PRIVATE SELECTION SNACK BOARD SMOKED DRY CURED SPICY CALABRESE SALAMI” and lot code 11110605471 with Best By date of “APR 03 2023”and “APR 19 2023”.
The meat snack items were produced with the recalled chocolate wafers on various dates from January 2, 2023, through January 18, 2023 and bear establishment number “645” inside the Canadian mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered when the producing establishment was notified by their wafer supplier that the chocolate wafers are being recalled because they may contain peanut residue, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) notified FSIS that the recalled wafers were used in products distributed to the United States.
FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators. If you have an allergy to peanuts do not eat them, they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
