In-N-Out burgers have been reported to cause food poisoning. Diners have reported E. coli as a common diagnosis from In-N-Out food poisoning and the most commonly reported symptoms are nausea and diarrhea. E. coli is closely associated with eating undercooked ground beef.

I had the worst food poisoning after eating a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions, no spread. I was in bed rest for two days straight throwing everything up and not being able to take any food or water.
