Five Guys, 228th Street Southeast, Bothell, WA, USA

Saturday afternoon I ate a Little Bacon Burger with fries from Five Guys in Bothell, WA. I remember thinking that the burger had an "old / undercooked meat" flavor, but with the addition of bacon and grilled onions, I just ignored it because it was my first … See More
(and only) full meal of the day, and I was too hungry to not eat. On Sunday I developed the worst stomach pains. It progressed into extreme diarrhea with the most terrible cramps. Monday I called in sick from work and was completely bed-ridden with extreme stomach pains, headache, fever, and constant diarrhea. Tuesday I went to an urgent care clinic - still had a light fever of 99.6 with terrible pain and diarrhea. They prescribed Bentyl to control the stomach and intestinal cramping. I do not have health insurance, and so I rejected the $900+ Gastrointestinal Panel PCR test they offered me. It is now Wednesday and I'm feeling a little better from the medication, but still too ill to work or do much of anything. The thought of the burger makes me so nauseous. The pain I felt was so severe it would keep me up at night. All I could do was curl into a fetal position in bed and try not to cry. I took two COVID tests and they were negative. I'm confident that this was food poisoning.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Something else, Fever, Cramps, Headache, Stomach Pain, Gas

My son ate a bowl of at 10:30 PM 4/13/24 And by 12:30 AM started throwing up violently lasted 48 hours of the worst vomiting I’ve seen. Additional symptoms were fever, extreme lethargy, and flu symptoms plus explosive diarrhea. He did not return to normal until Thursday … See More
4/18/24.

The ice cream was brand new, a brand, new flavor creation, and therefore not something that sat on shelves at the grocery store for a prolonged period. I checked the packaging for any puncture sites found none, smelled completely normal and two other people in the home did not eat the ice cream, present with any food-borne illnesses or issues during the same time period So I know it was not viral or stomach flu, and was indeed food poisoning related.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever
