Updated:

Boucherie Les Saules inc., located at 2070 Boulevard Masson, Québec City, QC, Canada, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, has issued a recall for its Taouk brand vegetable and mushroom and sesame soups. The recall is due to improper storage methods that could … See More
potentially lead to the growth of Clostridium botulinum bacteria. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with these products.

The recalled products are
- Mushrooms & sesame (750 ml)
- Vegetables (750 ml)
The products were sold until April 23, 2024, and were packaged in glass jars with black metal lids. They were sold at room temperature at the establishment mentioned above. The products are not showing any signs of spoilage or suspicious odor.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased. Products could be contaminated with the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. Foods contaminated with the toxin of this bacterium when ingested can cause the following symptoms: facial paralysis, non-reactive or fixed pupils, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, etc, impaired vision and speech. In severe cases, the disease can cause death.

In case you experienced Botulism symptoms, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
