My husband & I went to Roy’s on Aug 18 for dinner. We eat had different items off the menu. While dining I have photos of our time there showing I was perfectly fine walking in and at the table. A few hours after leaving, I started... See More feeling uncomfortable and by the middle of the night I was extremely sick. My husband was not affected but he had a different meal and drink. I slept nearly the entire next day with the exception of diarrhea & sporadic episodes of vomiting/ heaving. On the 20th a neighbor stopped by and witnessed my poor condition. On the 21st I was no longer throwing up or having bouts of diarrhea but had bad stomach pains and weakness and by late evening my BP was dropping from the dehydration. Close to midnight my husband made the decision to take me to the hospital ER. I was subsequently admitted in the early am hours to ICU where I remained for 2 days. I went to acute care for another 4 days before being discharged. I notified Roy’s before going to the hospital and was phoned back by the manager that all the fish I ordered had been sold out. That was the last I heard from him. I reported the incident to the health department after I found out the hospital failed to report anything. A subsequent investigation was conducted of the restaurant with alarming results . I sent a copy of the hospital bill to Roy’s corporate and they have refused to either reimburse me for the meal or help with the medical expenses. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Weakness, Stomach Pain See Less
