Big Mac Food Poisoning - McDonald's, Eagan Minnesota

1 year ago reported by user-jkrwd222 business

McDonald's, Erin Lane, Eagan, MN, USA

4565 Erin Lane, Eagan, 55122 Minnesota, United States

I ordered a Big Mac and a small fry around 11PM on 9/27 after my double at work before going to bed .Essentially, it really being the only thing I ate all day being on my feet and I work as a server myself. My stomach hurt before I went to bed after I ate , but I figured it was because I had a long day at work and just had a meal.During my meal, I kept saying how it didn’t taste right, but again, I figured it was because I had a long day at work. Hours later, I woke up at 8 in the morning with a slamming migraine & extreme nausea and had to call into work. After that it was nonstop dry heaving, and throwing up thick yellow stomach bile all day long, foamy clear spit along with diarrhea. All of my symptoms included diarrhea, nausea and vomiting with extreme stomach cramping along with hot and cold sweats and unable to even keep water down. I have had food poisoning before,I also come from the healthcare field & also come from the food service industry; so I knew right away I had been food poisoned. I don’t know if somebody didn’t wash their hands before prepping my meal or something wasn’t cooked through all the way, but this was not viral. The vomiting & extreme dry heaving continued for about 8 hours straight and at one point, I almost went to the hospital in fear that I was experiencing an extreme case of food poisoning and being dehydrated from not able to keep fluids down. luckily, it subsided in the late afternoon. My abdomen is still sore today from all of the vomiting. I also read another report from this location of similar food poisoning in the past. Sadly,I will not be eating McDonald’s again and I’m very disappointed because this was my favorite McDonald’s location and I’ve always loved McDonald’s. I don’t have any proof being that I paid cash & don’t have the receipt but I know I’m on camera in the drive-through & I would never take pictures of what I went through. The only thing I have are text messages, my experience and knowledge.

It took 3 days for my salmonella to show up. You should get tested so the dept of health can find out where it came from. I was very wrong with where I assumed I was poisoned.
