Stonebridge of Gurnee, West Washington Street, Gurnee, IL, USA

5980 West Washington Street, Gurnee, 60031 Illinois, United States

I got very sick after eating the tator tots at the supportive living facility I live at; Stonebridge of Gurnee. I found tiny insects in the tator tots & you could actually see the wings. There was also insect feces. I had cramping, nausea, diarrhea & vomiting. It was a terrible experience.
As the facility takes all of your Social Security check except for $90 a month, I cannot afford to buy my own food. I am afraid to eat the food there now. Tonight I ordered a cheeseburger & when I took a bite, I felt something hard. A small piece of metal got lodged between my 2 front teeth.
As they can't keep any kitchen help, they have resorted to hiring people from a local agency that works with cognitively challenged persons. I am all for that. But they don't train them adequately when it it comes to proper hygiene & sanitation.
I have witnessed the following: waiters picking there nose while handling food, wait staff eating off of a residents plate when they are serving the food, etc. The worst thing I saw was a server taking a dirty bathroom mop & using it to clean the counter with the coffee & cream. It should be the manager's job to insure that proper sanitation is being adhered to. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps
