Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas cruise linked to Norovirus Outbreak

Approximately 67 passengers on the Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas have been affected by a Norovirus outbreak during the April 8-22, 2024 voyage #20095. It resulted in 67 out of 1,993 passengers (3.36%) and 2 out of 924 crew members (0.22%) reporting illness. The predominant symptoms
were diarrhea and vomiting, indicative of the Norovirus pathogen. The affected passengers and crew were spread across various ports of call and were not concentrated at any particular location. The problem was discovered when passengers and crew started reporting gastrointestinal illness.
Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person mostly through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap frequently. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.
