Usually a great place, very busy but clean, in an affluent area. I took my father and daughter to lunch last week there. My daughter ordered the strawberry poppyseed salad and the Mediterranean vegetable sandwich. I took my daughter back to work at the university nearby. Less … See More
than 2 hours passed when she had uncontrollable vomiting. She had to leave work (she Never misses, as she is the head of a department), pulling over on the drive home to vomit more. She could not hold any fluids down for the evening. My grandson missed his 1st soccer practice. What a horrible day!!!  | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting

I ate at St. Louis Bread Co. at 1008 Loughborough in St. Louis on Sunday, November 27, 2016 and had a half kale/chicken caesar salad and a half chipotle avocado chicken sandwich. I thought it didn't taste quite right but I assumed I just didn't like what … See More
I had ordered, rather than thinking the food was spoiled. The restaurant was very busy and it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving. 4 hours later, I started getting nauseated and had diarrhea, then spent the rest of the night vomiting. I have not vomited that much in 20 years. I slept on the floor of my bathroom and drank sips of Pedialyte all night long. I submitted a complaint to the St. Louis City Health Department. They contacted me a few weeks later and said they had sent someone out to check on the restaurant but didn't see any problems. The woman who called me actually had the nerve to tell me I should eat a healthy diet including fruits and vegetables. (?) Since it was just a few days after Thanksgiving, I'm sure she probably blamed my problems on my Thanksgiving dinner. However, there is no doubt in my mind that my food poisoning was caused by the St. Louis Bread Co. restaurant. I am so glad this website exists so I can warn others about this awful restaurant.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
