My husband and I stopped at the KFC/Taco Bell combo in Altoona on Sunday night 9/23/18 on our way home to Bettendorf. We chose to go in to look at the menu and stretch our legs. They were out of tacos believe it or not so I ordered a KFC slider meal, honey gold sauce w/pickles only no mayo with potato wedges and a beef chalupa no drink, I had water in the car. My husband ordered the same, one honey gold slider, one Tennesse hot with a side of mac and cheese and a Gordita crunch. He too got wedges and an iced tea. He did not eat his Gordita, only his KFC. It was night, we ate in the car while driving so I didn't look at my food prior to eating it. I did pick the chicken off my bread because the bread was not fresh. It was crunchy but dry so I picked some of it off and threw it into the bag. I ate some of the wedges, they were cold but I ate them anyway because I was hungry. I only took a couple of bites of the Chalupa but wasn't enjoying it so I wrapped it up and called it done. We got home at 10:30 p.m. and I was feeling very full which seemed odd since I hadn't eaten lunch that day so I didn't have much to eat. I didn't sleep well, Monday I was very bloated and had stomach cramping and loose stool all day. Monday night, Tuesday I was home all day not feeling like leaving the house and didn't have much energy, my stomach was not well, super bloated with mucousy stool. Tuesday night I could not sleep at all, I was so achy I could not get comfortable. Wednesday, I was very bloated but felt hungry. I ate lightly but felt sick and achy all day with mucousy stool, was in bed by 7:30 p.m. Thursday, I laid in bed most of the day feeling ill with severe cramping and bloody stool. I ate applesauce and banana, tea and water and was in bed again early never leaving the house. Friday I felt a little better but my gut was still angry, cramping still but not as severe as earlier in the week. I ate very light again, applesauce, banana and a little chicken soup for dinner. Saturday I finally felt back to myself, hungry and had normal stool for the first time all week. My husband had diarrhea on Monday night and horrible gaseous gut all day but did not react the same as i'm 125 lbs., he is 225 lbs. He is a firefighter and had to work his 24 hour shift on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I googled bloody mucousy stool all week wondering if something else was the problem but I recently had colonoscopy and had no issues so I was having a hard time thinking it was anything else but food poisoning. I was also with my daughter all week and she was fine so It wasn't a bug I was sure. I googled this KFC to see if there were any posts and noticed someone posted that they ate there recently and got very sick too. I posted a google review telling people to beware and tonight 10/1/18 I saw someone else post they ate there on 9/30/18 and became very ill. Please have this place checked out so no one else gets sick from their rancid oil and uncleanly facility. Someone even posted if you use the bathroom, throw out your shoes because it's that filthy.
