Lays plain chips. My husband woke up extremely nauseous begging me to rush home with pepto bismol. I laughed but he was in serious pain saying he felt extremely gasy but couldn't throw up or pass stool and the only thing he ate before bed was lays plain chips. Without thinking about it, I had some chips from the same bag later that night & within 10 minutes of eating a single serving, my stomach was gurgling. I kept trying to use the restroom but nothing was coming out but it felt like I had trapped gas causing bad abdomen pain. He described his burps as smelling like "rotten wheaties cereal" & not to get too descriptive, but when I finally passed soft stool on the 3rd attempt, it smelled of rotten cereal. We are both regulars to chips and even used to work at Frito Lay, so we know exactly the process of making & bagging but we can't figure out what about this bag made us both instantly ill??? It was made at plant 49 which is the Modesto California plant on the 6th day of the week on 3rd shift (of course) on the 148th day of this year on line 10 at 3:41 in the morning. Supposedly doesn't expire until September 6th 2022... so what in the world went wrong with this bag & why is it making everyone sick??? | Symptoms: Gas, Nausea, Stomach Pain, Diarrhea
