This past Friday, I went to urgent care in pain. I had on and off pain since last Monday and couldn't take it anymore. I couldn’t stand I was holding my stomach and decided it was time to get checked. It was hard being in the room
by myself, I was hooked up to an IV, blood drawn then had an EKG and ct scan. Doctor trying to see what was wrong. Everything was else normal but my white cell count leading him to bacteria and ct scan with my intestine. Turns out I had apparently ate bad food. I didn’t know how that was possible because my family and I all eat the same food and even when we do take out, we stick in the oven just to heat it up again to kill off any bacteria before we eat it. We started doing that in the beginning of COVID to be extra careful. Except for that one time that I went there for lunch and ate an organic turkey wrap. That was on a Sunday after church and then the next day on Monday my stomach was hurting but I didn’t put it together. All last week I had on and off stomach pain and a bit of nausea but when the pain didn’t go away I knew it was time to go to see a doctor. When I told him about the turkey wrap I ate and pain starting the next day he said it could be because deli meat. It is common at restaurants such as this to get food poisoning because of the storage of their deli meat. I have 5 prescriptions to take for the next 7 days Antibiotics, pain meds and nausea. So no more this for me!

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has issued a warning to consumers in Schuyler County and surrounding areas against consuming raw milk from Sunset View Creamery LLC due to potential contamination with Campylobacter jejuni. The farm, located at 4970 County Road 14, Odessa, New
York, has been linked to one reported illness potentially associated with this product.
The contamination was discovered in an investigative sample of the milk collected by a Department inspector. The producer was notified of a preliminary positive test result on April 25, 2024, and further laboratory testing confirmed the presence of Campylobacter jejuni in the raw milk sample on April 29, 2024. The farm is now prohibited from selling raw milk until subsequent testing shows the product is free of the bacteria.
The Department also emphasized that raw milk does not provide the protection of pasteurization, a process that kills bacteria responsible for numerous illnesses and diseases. Pasteurization is recognized internationally as an effective means of preventing outbreaks of foodborne illnesses, including campylobacteriosis.

After a birthday celebration with the family, we got horrible food poisoning all the way down to my 4 year old. Vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain. Bathroom visits non stop. My son developed fever and headache too after all the throwing up. An experience no one should go
through. After seeing other locations reporting the same thing, I can definitely say it's a place we won't be visiting any time soon, and won't be recommending to anyone either.
