Meadow View Jerseys Raw Milk recalled due to E. Coli

3 months ago source pa.gov

Recall notice

Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a warning for consumers to discard Meadow View Jerseys brand raw milk, due to contamination with Shigatoxin-producing E. coli bacteria. The milk was sold between August 5 and 12, 2024, in Berks, Dauphin, and Lebanon County stores in USA (You can see the exact location in the following link down below). The farm has contacted the wholesale and retail stores that distributed the milk.

The contaminated product is:
- Meadow View Jerseys brand raw milk
- Sold in plastic gallon, plastic and glass half gallon, plastic quart, and plastic pint containers.
- The batch has a sell-by date of August 19, 2024.
- The milk was distributed from the farm’s store in Leola and several retail stores in southcentral Pennsylvania.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as watery diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting; stomach cramps; and mild fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
