Recall notice

Ireland

The FSAI announced the recall of Sauda Pipirai Ground Allspice due to the presence of Salmonella.

The recalled product is:
- Sauda Pipirai Ground Allspice, pack size: 100g, Lot no: 40, best before date: 31/01/2023, Country Of Origin: Mexico

Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled product. Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and to display a point-of-sale recall notice in stores where the affected batch was sold.

Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers, recall the affected batch and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retail customers. Caterers should not use this product.

In case you are experiencing Salmonella symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
