Family of 6 (2 adults, 4 young children) had dinner at Cafe Rio on 10/19/2024 later in the evening. Adults ordered Pork Barbacoa Salads (tortilla, lettuce, cheese, black beans, rice, roasted vegetables, corn, pico de gallo, cilantro, tortilla strips, guacamole, house tomatillo dressing, lime wedge, etc.) For the children we ordered Niño’s Beef Quesadilla meals with rice and black beans. Also ordered chips with side of guacamole, mango lemonade, strawberry lemonade, horchata, and mint limeade. Shared food and drinks among family members but most kids didn’t eat much. One child only ate rice and tortilla chips - didn’t get sick. One adult had nausea and diarrhea several times the next morning. Other adult had nausea and several bouts of diarrhea the following afternoon and into evening with single light episode of vomiting in the afternoon. One child also had slight stomach ache and heavily vomited the following evening. General aches and clamminess of 2nd adult kept them in bed all day after diarrhea began - hasn’t eaten anything since, 24 hours later. Update: Heavy gurgling sounds from stomach on 2nd morning for the 2nd adult and continued diarrhea although much less violent. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Headache
