Rodent infestation. An inspector first visited in response to a complaint about rodents on Nov. 2. The manager was aware that they had a problem and agreed to close. The inspector also saw liquid waste overflowing onto the floor from the ice machine drainpipe. The restaurant called pest control, which caught a few rats in the ceiling, and fixed the plumbing, so the restaurant was permitted to reopen the next day. But during a follow-up Nov. 15, the inspector found dozens of fresh droppings, including in a box of sealed take-out cups, on boxes of soda syrup and under the grill. The person in charge said pest control was still coming every few days and they’d recently caught another rat.
