“We ordered food via DoorDash on June 20, 2020. My daughters had frozen treats. Myself and one daughter had a steak burger, hers with cheese, mine without. My other daughter had a vegetarian burger. We also had french w and onion rings. I did not have frozen dessert. My husband... only ate left over french fries and onion rings. The two of us that had steak burgers were awake all night with severe stomach pain. Today June 21, 2020, I got out of bed at 7am due to stomach cramps, sweating, and feeling quite ill. Now since this morning, both my daughter and I have horrible diarrhea all day. It's now 11:00am and we are both still feeling terrible. ”
“I noticed when I walked in that there was fry sauce laying on the counter....unrefrigerated for who knows how long. Looked to be there for hours and the countainer looked like a bucket of greese. When they served my food, I went ahead and ate it anyway, not knowing for... sure if they were going to use that bin of sauce.... apparently, they did. Now I have the worst food poisoning I have ever had and I will never be going back here again. ”
“ate 4 hours before symptoms, nausea and diarrhea then violent vomiting ”

“On Halloween I ordered an Original Double, fries, and iced tea. About four hours later my stomach felt "off." Within an hour I was nauseous and fighting off vomiting. The resy of rhe eveng was spent vomiting and with diarrhea and shivering with fever. ”
“We ate yesterday. Both the wife and I ate a chili dog but otherwise shared no other food and haven’t been out in the general public in the last two days. Both experiencing fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and she has experienced diarrhea. ”
“Picked up chicken Caesar salad at 7pm. Consumed 1/2 of it by 7:30. The chicken didn’t taste the same as usual. By midnight I was in pain throughout my body. At 2am, I went nauseated. I attempted to walk to the kitchen to retrieve a pale, but I passed out... before making it back to my room. I have never passed out in my 51.5 years! I’m very dehydrated, so drinking as much water as possible. Will go to Dr. tomorrow. ”
“Got some last night. Had chicken along with an app sampler of jalapeño poppers. Wisconsin cheese bites and mozzarella sticks. Didn’t have any issues until morning. Felt very nauseous and had the sweats; almost threw up multiple times. The feeling of nausea lasted all day and I got abdominal cramps... throughout the day as well. ”
“Frozen potstickers I was the only one who ate them luckily. It was for lunch. Within about an hour I started burping a lot. I didn’t have nausea, but small chunks of undigested food came up. I was severely sick with vomiting that night into the next day and was... unable to eat anything for two days. I still feel “off.” This is absolutely the worst case of food poisoning I have ever experienced! ”
“Got delivery and they forgot a sandwich. Called and had them send it out after original delivery. It was the only item I didn’t share and I was the only one who got sick. Horrid cramps, up half the night throwing up and diarrhea. Don’t want to assume but maybe... they did something gross to the sandwich...? ”
“Fifth Third Bank sponsored a “get together” event for their loyal customers before the University of Cincinnati vs. Temple University basketball game on March 7, 2020 at the Fifth Third Arena on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Fifth Third Bank had this event catered from an outside vendor,... which included the following food items: chicken fingers, BBQ meatballs in sauce, and soft pretzels with cheese sauce, nachos, popcorn, cookies, and dipping sauces. After eating at this “get together” event, I became sick during the basketball game and I was running back and forth from my seat to the bathroom while throwing up in the bathroom each time. Finally, I decided to leave the Fifth Third Arena because I was so sick and I could no longer watch the game. Also, on the drive home, I had to stop to the side of the road and throw up on the pavement.
I spent $200 per ticket for the Basketball game, which was ruined because of the food poisoning I incurred after eating the food at the catered event sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
After contacting Fifth Third Bank, my wife was told that someone would be looking into this matter immediately. However, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the Cincinnati area and all employees of Fifth Third Bank went on lockdown.
I then contacted the Cincinnati Public Health Department about this incident and they then confirmed following an inspection at the site that there were dirty dishes found with the Caterer of the event for Fifth Third Bank.
Since Fifth Third Bank sponsored this “get together” event and hired the Caterer, they should be held accountable for my husband’s food poisoning. Not only was my husband spared after recovering a in a few days, he could have died if he had eaten more than his original plate of food.
Hence, I would like Fifth Third Bank to honor their original promise and afford us $400 for the basketball tickets we purchased for the game which we couldn’t see because of my husband’s food poisoning.
If this matter is not resolved by Fifth Third Bank, I will lodge a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General as well as the Cincinnati Public Health Department so that Fifth Third will be prohibited for hosting any future events involving the provision of food to the general public. As well, I will seek punishment of the Fifth Third staff members who sponsored and setup the event with their assigned Caterer.
After spending the last 4 months trying to resolve this issue with Fifth Third, I am deeply disappointed in the apathy displayed by Fifth Third staff members, including the bank managers at 2 location in the Mason, Ohio area.
Please therefore have someone contact me at the earliest opportunity so this matter can be resolved once and for at all.
“Portabella mushrooms or hummus Within 3 hours of eating portobello mushrooms I began to feel a strong wave of nausea. Within 20 minutes of feeling nauseous there was an unsuppressable urge to vomit. I vomited 3 or 4 times throughout the night and again in the morning. I also have... extreme diarrhea. 2 days later and I still feel dizzy and mild nausea when I eat. ”
“I ate here on Friday July 31st 2020 . I ordered two pizzas one with Canadian bacon and pineapple and one with philly cheese stack and spinach. I hint sick a 1-2 hours after eating it. I went to the hospital today after being so sick all weekend and the... said I got salmonella! My two kids and boyfriend also got diarrhea but didn't get seen they was not as sick as me. ”
