had eaten that day, so I'm 100% certain that this sandwich caused my symptoms. I noticed that the employees were no longer wearing masks or gloves like they did in the past, which is negligent when there are COVID surges throughout the country, including Pennsylvania. Also, since the employees talk to one another and to customers while they are preparing the sandwiches, it's inevitable that saliva from their mouths lands on the food in front of them. Every employee should wear gloves, especially since they are handling food. I did not see anyone at the cash register, which means that the same employees handling customers' payments are handling the food and since money is covered with bacteria, they are cross contaminating the food. This store no longer practices adequate food hygiene or proper food handling techniques. Customer Relations called me on 8/09/2021 and was not the least bit empathetic, was defensive throughout the call, kept repeating that she found it hard to believe that the employees didn't have gloves on, and asked if I had gone to the doctor to prove that I became sick from their sandwich. Afterwards, I left a voicemail on the district manager's, answering machine on 8/09/2021 explaining the issue and also called the store to ask that she contact me, but she never contacted me. I also called the Customer Relations Department and left a voicemail requesting that a manager contact me, but nobody responded. Obviously, the store employees and managers don't care if their customers become sick after eating their sandwiches and demonstrate no accountability or professionalism.
