Jue Wei Food (Canada) Ltd recall their Juewei and Kingwuu brand meat products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The products were distributed in British Columbia and are being recalled from the marketplace. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Listeria monocytogenes is a type of bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
