After indulging in Beyond Meat burgers, my night took an unfortunate turn with 1am vomiting, diarrhea, and persistent cramps. The severity led me to seek an IV drip at the ER, in order to avoid disrupting my holiday plans further. Having encountered gastric bugs before, this experience
surpassed the usual discomfort. While appreciating alternatives to meat, I find more satisfaction in the unique and nutritious flavor combinations of vegetables I don’t need an alternative that tastes like meat. Beyond Meat's attempt to replicate meat taste felt unnecessary, especially considering the unpleasant aftermath and keeping in mind that these products are not healthy at all. The stock price of BYND may reflect a more complex reality despite famous endorsements. Given this experience, I'm steering clear of Beyond Meat and similar lab-created alternatives. Instead, I'd recommend opting for naturally made, nutritious veg burgers my favourite being bean based or indulging in a real burger occasionally for a more satisfying and nutritious experience, if ethical considerations permit.. Was a store bought beyond burger that I cooked at home
