2 of my friends and I were hanging out in Morro Bay on 10/2/21 - we had breakfast at Dorn's (including a few cocktails), walked around a bit and visited a couple of shops, and then went to the Libertine Pub that afternoon. We ordered beers, but... See More feel we were charged for way too many beers, especially because of the type of beer they charged us for. Too hoppy.... we would not have ordered more than one of that kind (we would have written it off as a mistake). That's one strange occurrence. My friend ended up sick so we took her away from there. We got a room at the Inn at Morro Bay. We took our sick friend to the room, and my other friend and I had dinner and dessert at the Inn lounge. That night they found me in the bathroom.... I suffered a seizure apparently, and continued to suffer seizures that night. I had to be put in a coma. I have no recollection of the day (the details were given to me by my friend - at least what she can remember). My sick friend does not remember anything from the day either. I'm a healthy person and never had a seizure before in my life, and I don't have issues with holding my alcohol. The FSIS has issued a public health alert for fresh, fully cooked, ready-to-eat (RTE) ShopRite Bowl & Basket Chicken Noodle Soup due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product may actually contain Italian-style wedding soup, which includes milk. This product was distributed to retail stores in New... See More Jersey and New York. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.
The affected product is a 20-oz. plastic cup labeled “A SHOPRITE BRAND bowl & basket CHICKEN NOODLE soup” with a use by date of “09/23/23.”. The product contains the establishment number “EST. P-18468” inside the USDA mark of inspection and was produced on August 8, 2023
Discovery of the issue occurred when a retail store employee discovered soups labeled as chicken noodle and Italian-style wedding soup in the same shipping box.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.

The presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the above product.
Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.
