I know that there have been a lot of recent reports of illnesses from boxes of Cocoa Puffs and Lucky Charms, however, these cereals have made me sick after eating them for the past couple of years which is why I don't eat them so much anymore. … See More
Thinking it would be a good pick-me-up in the morning with my busy schedule, I recently bought two packs of cereal bars- one of Cocoa Puffs and one Lucky Charms- a couple of weeks ago, from a local grocery store, and once again, every time I eat them, I feel incredibly sick. I start feeling extremely nauseous and dizzy, and I also experience heart palpitations and near fainting spells to the point where I need to lie down because standing makes me feel worse.

While this may very well be an indicator of a condition that I may have that I don't know about (I will definitely make an appointment with my doctor in regards to this because I'm almost sure that the cereal is not the only culprit to blame), I do feel that all sugary cereals that are marketed to children and other popularly consumed foods need to be investigated due to the mere fact that these cereals contain very high levels of sugar and other ingredients that may not be fit for human consumption. (For example, many cereals contain Trisodium Phosphate (TSP)- also a common ingredient in fast food and other processed foods- and while it is considered a food additive that is safe for consumption in small amounts, over time this can be considered to be incredibly dangerous to consume and is linked to conditions such as kidney damage, and other conditions that the public should be more informed about.
