My partner and i suddenly came down with stomach sickness within hours of eating the cereal when we purchased it a few weeks ago but we werent sure what was causing it for sure as it could have been anything the past day or so before then... We have now traced back the few days we have had stomach sickness the past few weeks and the only common food is the cereal (both almond and honey crunch flavours) every time. we stopped eating the cereal after 2 or 3x but my partner had some of the cereal today and suddenly he had stomach sickness within 6 hours of eating the cereal whereas i didnt have any and am not sick.
also we dont use the same kinds of milks in our cereal so its not the milks (almond & soy which we have daily and are never sick from).

Fullei Fresh is voluntarily recalling Alfalfa Sprouts due to the detection of Shiga toxin producing E.coli (STEC.) There have been no known illnesses reported to date in connection with this product. They were shipped to distributors and retailers in Florida between December 9-23, 2022.
STEC is a... See More bacterial strain that is not part of the company's routine microbial testing conducted in compliance with the FDA’s Produce Safety Rule Subpart M on every lot they produce. It was detected upon a sampling of the finished product by the FDA. The affected Fullei Fresh brand alfalfa sprout lot number is 336. No other lots or products are affected. The lot numbers are printed on the 8-ounce retail packs and on 5 lb. bulk cardboard boxes in the barcode (the last 3 digits being 336.) Pictures are attached below. The producer advises consumers that if they are in possession of these products, please discard them.
Shiga toxin producing E.coli is an organism that can cause foodborne illness in a person who eats a food item contaminated with it. Symptoms of infection may include stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. The illness primarily impacts elderly individuals, children, and people with weakened immune systems. Most healthy adults and children rarely become seriously ill.

A salmonella outbreak in Madrid, Spain has caused 106 people to fall ill and 14 of them to be hospitalized. The outbreak was traced to Casa Dani, a restaurant located in the Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid. On January 30, the restaurant was temporarily closed by health authorities... The General Directorate of Public Health of the Community of Madrid is currently investigating the source of the outbreak. The Casa Dani restaurant remains closed while the investigation continues and health authorities are warning Spaniards to take caution when preparing tortilla de patatas.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
