bowl of Lucky Charms after dinner as my dessert and had a horrible upset stomach and diarrhea the next day (no vomiting). I rarely eat sweets, so I attributed it to eating something with lots of sugar. I have stayed away from it since then.
At one point my middle son and oldest son were also sick with vomiting and diarrhea, but I figured they’d caught the stomach bug from my youngest son, although they got sick days apart from each other. Now I’m realizing that they’d both eaten Lucky Charms the day before they got sick.
The next week my youngest son got sick again and actually threw up at school first thing in the morning after eating Lucky Charms the night before for dessert. He’s been sick off and on for the last three weeks with stomach issues and I never connected it to the Lucky Charms until I saw the news reports.
My husband and elderly mother are also in the household and do not eat Lucky Charms and have not gotten sick.
