Have some idea what might be the true cause. Gluten-free pizza crust and bread type products almost always contain xanthan gum which causes some people severe stomach distress and diarrhea. Also some gluten-free stuff has inulin which is another ingredient that causes the same issue. It's possible the vegan cheese might use these ingredients too. Some people are sensitive to it. I had to give up all gluten-free products myself and go back to regular wheat.

My mother had the Doritos locos tacos and she has been throwing up periodically all of the rest of that afternoon, my brother had the two beefy nacho grillers and has had diarrhea over and over and throwing up. Epidemiologist here - please go to the doctor and request a stool sample. This sounds like Shigella or Campylobacter if both you and your dog have it. The only way to implicate the restaurant is through a laboratory stool culture. If it’s laboratory confirmed, the state can investigate. If it’s not laboratory confirmed, they won’t investigate. I hope you and your pup feel better soon. I know it’s not fun, I was there a few years ago!
