Steak Bowl Illness Suspected - Chipotle Mexican Grill, Magnolia Texas

My husband and I ate chipotle today. I ate a steak bowl with white rice, pinto beans, lettuce, and cheese with a side in container of sour cream, pico salsa, and corn. My husband had three crunchy tacos one steak, chicken, and carnitas with lettuce and cheese. My three year toddler did have half of a small plain cheese quesadilla. I order the Chipotle Mexican Grill on 8/14/2024 and probably ate the food around 1330ish and must have purchased it around 1240 and by the time I got home that was probably the time we started eating. My husband was the first one to start feeling and getting symptoms of not feeling well and started with the diarrhea first around 1800 and the throw up came shortly after that for him. I started with regular defecation around 1900 and then the diarrhea and throw up came after that, I took pictures of my throw up and my diarrhea for timestamp purposes and to see how it progressed. My husband didn’t take any pictures. Thankfully our son didn’t get any food poisoning that what makes me think that it may have been either the steak or lettuce and not the cheese. I slept on the couch to be closest to my sons bedroom in case he did get sick and also close to our guest bathroom because that was the one I was using to throw up for my diarrhea, because it was coming from both end when I was throwing up I was also having having diarrhea at the same time. I let my husband have our bedroom because he was already using out master bedroom and I didn’t want to be in there either. Along with the throw up and diarrhea, we both did have chills and at time felt hot and sweaty. Both of our symptoms were the same. It is now 8/15/2024 at 1158 and I am feeling better almost 100% I am with our son (thankfully our son never got sick) and husband is still sleeping but I haven’t heard or seen him get up to throw up or have diarrhea. I honestly do believe that it was the Chipotle Mexican Grill that got us sick, because my husband never had any breakfast and only had the Chipotle for lunch and no dinner. I only had a little bit of Chick-fil-a (French fries, nugget, and a coke) in the morning because I took our son to Chick-fil-a in the morning and then only had the Chipotle for lunch and no dinner. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Chills, Sweating
