- comments: observed the hand washing sink in the 1st floor boy's washroom in the new building not provide at least 15 seconds of water flow without having to reactivate the faucet by pushing the button on the hand washing sink. The sink turned off the water flow after less than 5 seconds. Management instructed that all hand washing sinks with self-closing, slow-closing or metered faucets must provide a flow of water for at least 15 seconds without the need to reactivate the faucet.

- comments: observed evidence of pest activity in the classrooms. Observed 20 mouse droppings in the bottom shelf of the wooden storage cabinet in room 303. Also observed 10 mouse droppings in the bottom shelf of the wooden art cabinet in room 107. Management instructed to clean and remove all rodent droppings from all affected areas. “The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 2,237 pounds of meat and poultry pasta products by Avanza Pasta, LLC. because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

FSIS is conce... See Morerned that some products may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

The meat and poultry ravioli and tortellini items were produced on various dates from October 5, 2019 through March 12, 2021. The products subject to recall do not bear an establishment number nor the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to restaurants, distributors, and retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The list of products subject to recall can be found in the link below.

The problem was discovered by FSIS during in-commerce surveillance activities. Consumers and members of the media with questions about the recall can contact Pavlos Loumbroukos, Operations Manager for Avanza Pasta, LLC., at (847) 584-2891.
