My family was visiting Chincoteague VA and attended the 18th annual Chili and Chowder Car Show at the Chincoteague Fair Grounds September 25. My husband and I both sampled several seafood chowders and contracted a food borne illness with me showing symptoms that evening and my husband... having the same symptoms the next morning. I was hospitalized September 27 while my husband waited until the 28th and saw his regular doctor. We have had blood and stool samples tested and are both on prescription Antibiotics and Anti nauseous medications. My parents also attended but did not try the seafood and did not have any symptoms. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting
