Fried Chicken Food Poisoning

Food poisoning from fried chicken is often caused by the bacteria Salmonella or Listeria. In 2021, chicken was the source of numerous Salmonella and Listeria outbreaks, leading to over 10 hospitalizations and 3 deaths in the US. Food poisoning from fried chicken is often characterized by diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
