My daughter and I ate Spanky's famous Chicken Fingers and Spuds at Spanky's in Savannah, GA at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016. This was the last meal we had eaten for the day and the only food we had eaten the same of while on our vacation (4 days).
Around 2:00a (5/28), my daughter began vomiting and having diarrhea. The second time she vomited, she blacked out and fell in the floor causing severe bruising to her left cheek and under and around her left eye. She continued to have diarrhea and vomited several more times, each time passing out. She continue to have sporadic bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. My daughter's fever went up to 102.4.
My symptoms began a couple of hours after my daughter's. I also had sporadic bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. My fever went up to 101.2.
Around 6:00a (5/28), I considered us going to the hospital emergency room, but knew that it was food poisoning and that the only thing we could do was tough it out.
It is now 2:15p on Sunday, May 29 and our fevers have finally broke, although we both still have a headache. I still have bouts of mild diarrhea. We were able to take Tylenol at at 1:30a this morning (5/29) and kept it down. We took Tylenol again at 8:15a (5/29). We also drank Pedialyte, as well as Sprite. Keeping hydrated and replenishing electrolytes is extremely important.
36 hours later, we are still achy and a bit nauseous, and my daughter is nursing her black eye. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Headache
