Chickpeas, like other nuts and legumes, could be the culprit of food poisoning. In 2017, crackers made from chickpeas were recalled due to contamination of Listeria. Listeria can be especially harmful to pregnant women, people over the age of 65, and those with weakened immune systems.

No other Off The Eaten Path products, flavors, sizes, or variety packs are recalled. No allergic reactions related to this matter have been reported to date.

The recall is the result of an investigation following a consumer complaint.
