“Me and my bf went out to eat around 10:30- 11 pm, he ordered fried fish and I ordered fried shrimp platter. I was fine at first, I didn’t even finish my plate. I saved some for later. We went home, I woke up around 4:30-5 am and felt a stabbing pain in my stomach, and I felt like I had to use the re... stroom. I ran to the bathroom and I had diarrhea, I used the bathroom about 3 times. I was so embarrassed I left and went home. As soon I stepped foot in my bathroom I vomited, then I used the bathroom a few more times. I stayed in bed the whole day, getting up using the restroom frequently. I couldn’t even leave the house because I was so scared I would have to use the bathroom. That was about 2 days ago, I still have diarrhea, it’s just not as bad. I forgot to add, I had a strawberry margarita, didn’t know if that was the cause, I don’t drink much; but even if it was I don’t think it would last this long. ”

“I am 9 months pregnant and went to dinner with my Fiancé’s family for his moms birthday. I ordered the “choose 3” with a crab cake, bay scallops, and fried shrimp with the sides as Ceaser Salad and mashed potato’s. My fiancé, his mother and I all got the same thing except I got Bay Scallops instead... of Sea scallops. I didn’t even finish the scallops because they looked like they were soaking in some sort of water. We ate around 8pm, and at around 1am I suddenly had to rush to the bathroom, with non-stop watery diarrhea, and vomited about 5/6 times within 30 minutes. I had to call the hospital just to make sure my symptoms were food poisoning and not labor, and if I should have me and baby be checked. Luckily since he was still moving in my stomach, I didn’t have to go in, but I did have to cancel my lab tests for today. Will not return there. ”

“This past Friday, I went to urgent care in pain. I had on and off pain since last Monday and couldn't take it anymore. I couldn’t stand I was holding my stomach and decided it was time to get checked. It was hard being in the room by myself, I was hooked up to an IV, blood drawn then had an EKG and... ct scan. Doctor trying to see what was wrong. Everything was else normal but my white cell count leading him to bacteria and ct scan with my intestine. Turns out I had apparently ate bad food. I didn’t know how that was possible because my family and I all eat the same food and even when we do take out, we stick in the oven just to heat it up again to kill off any bacteria before we eat it. We started doing that in the beginning of COVID to be extra careful. Except for that one time that I went there for lunch and ate an organic turkey wrap. That was on a Sunday after church and then the next day on Monday my stomach was hurting but I didn’t put it together. All last week I had on and off stomach pain and a bit of nausea but when the pain didn’t go away I knew it was time to go to see a doctor. When I told him about the turkey wrap I ate and pain starting the next day he said it could be because deli meat. It is common at restaurants such as this to get food poisoning because of the storage of their deli meat. I have 5 prescriptions to take for the next 7 days Antibiotics, pain meds and nausea. So no more this for me! ”
