Sandwiches can give you food poisoning. Sandwiches are typically a combination of high risk raw and cooked ingredients. Raw veggies can be contaminated in the fields, and processed deli meats can contain listeria. Food poisoning can also come from poor hygiene of the sandwich shop and employees.

bad diarrhea as well. Felt like crap the remainder of the evening/overnight, but woke up feeling better, albeit lite cramping. Sounds like the food I ate gave me food poisoning, my body rid itself of the toxin, and recovery started. This is now second case of food poisoning from Jersey Mikes, with a very memorable case back in 2018 that messed up my GI for years.
