3. Management, food employee and conditional employee; knowledge, responsibilities and reporting
- comments: observed several employees who have not signed the employee health policy. Management instructed that all employees must have a signed employee health policy. Priority foundation 7-38-010.
38. Insects, rodents, & animals not present
- comments: observed an opening between the screen curtains at the rear exit door off of the kitchen that could allow flying insects to enter into the kitchen. Management instructed that all outer openings must be protected.
40. Personal cleanliness
- comments: none of the food handling employees were wearing hair restraints while preparing food in the kitchen. Management instructed that all food handling employees must wear a hair restraint.
49. Non-food/food contact surfaces clean
- comments: clean the dry food storage table in the basement.
53. Toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, & cleaned
- comments: the toilet is not operational in the left side washroom. The toilet handle is broken and will not allow the toilet to flush. Management instructed to repair the toilet and maintain it for proper use. Priority foundation 7-38-030(c). Citation issued.
54. Garbage & refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
- comments: observed garbage overflowing over the top of the garbage dumpster so that the lid could not be closed. Management instructed to provide adequate garbage pickup so that the garbage can be contained inside of the dumpster with the lid closed. Priority foundation 7-38-020(b). Citation issued.
55. Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean
- comments: observed excess clutter in the basement storage area. Must organize and maintain all equipment off of the floor to prevent pest harborage conditions.
58. Allergen training as required
- comments: the certified food manager did not have an food allergen training certificate available at the time of the inspection. Management instructed that all certified food managers must show proof of training.
