On Tuesday evening, 11/3/2020, I ordered 3 chicken tacos, a few hours later my stomach wasn’t feel the best but I didn’t think anything of at first. After going to bed I was woken up a few times throughout the night due to stomach pains. I reported to work that morning 11/4/202 and within a few hours in site I my abdominal pain was getting pretty intense and caused me to double over in pain, and had to use the restroom several times due to diarrhea. I called my manager to requested for a replacement guard to cover the remainder of my shift. While waiting for the relief guard to show up I had to use the rush into the restroom 4 additional times before my relief showed up 2 hours later. With strong stomach pain and nausea I managed to drive home where I attempted to rest. In attempts to stay hydrated I would sip on water and shortly after have to rush to use the restroom. Approximately around this time is when I started noticing blood in my diarrhea. Having not eaten anything since them I attempted to eat chicken noodle soup and stay hydrated with water but was unable to hold it down as very shortly after an attempt I was back in the restroom. This went on until 8pm when I called out for my my shift on 11/5/2020 (14.25 hour shift). I spent all night trying to stay hydrated and take small bits of soup unsuccessfully holding anything down. 11/5/2020 was the same. Strong abdominal pains, bloody diarrhea, unable to hold any food or water in my system all day long. I attempted taking Imodium and Pepto-Bismol to help with the symptoms. Only feeling worse even with I was forced to call out for my shift on 11/6/2020 (12.25 hour shift). Having barely gotten 2-3 hours of broken sleep through the night due to these intense systems I woke up on 11/6/2020 still experiencing all the same symptoms. All day long still not holding food or water I had dropped 14 pounds in weight originally weighing in at 184 pounds before this now weighing 170. Around 8:30pm I called out for my 11/7/2020 (8 hour shift) at my second job with the intention of seeking professional medical assistance on 11/7/20 if not feeling better by the morning. I was able to get 2 hours of broken sleep that night due to the strong symptoms. I woke up still in pain with bloody diarrhea with no sense of feeling any better. I drove myself to Henderson hospital where I checked into the ER. I received IV and several medications to help with the pain and nausea as well as a CT scan of my abdomen. The doctors at the hospital confirmed that it appeared to be a strong case of food poisoning and provided with information on this. I was prescribed 2 different antibiotics and 3 other medications to help me with the other symptoms. Once getting the medications into my system the pain slowly reduced to barely noticeable but still persisting with the bloody diarrhea. The medications were able to help me get more sleep that night. It’s now 11/8/2020 and taking the proscribed medication the pain is still barely noticeable and I am holding food down longer then I was before but can still only have small amounts. I’m holding water down much better then I was before. The medications seem to be working and I’m supposed to take some of them for up to 7 days still. The doctors told me to seek medical attention if symptoms continue to persist past 11/9/2020. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Other, Bloody Stool, Stomach Pain2 weeks ago •reported by user-gqmh6983
