Food poisoning can occur from eating processed foods like hot dogs. Common symptoms for Portillo's food poisoning reports are nausea and diarrhea. In 2011 a Portillo's location in St Charles, IL was identified as the source of a Salmonella outbreak that sickened 13 and hospitalized 3 people.
