My mom and I went to chic fil a on Dec.19 2018. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries. A couple hours later my mom’s stomach started hurting but then later went away. I couldn’t even get out of my bed, I even had to go to the urgent care. I also had a fever of 104. Luckily, I’m starting to feel a bit better, but that was the worst pain of my life. McDonald's, 5851 Northwest 177th Street, Miami, FL, USA

Symptoms: Diarrhea Nausea Vomiting

Report Type: Food Poisoning

DESCRIPTION

I visited this McDonald’s at 2:00 AM and they seemed to have been cleaning in the back I asked if they were opened and they kept looking each other not responding. Finally one worker came and said yes and said they were out of fries and chicken nuggets. I asked for four mchicken with light mayo. They took 3 mins because they said they were cooking it when I got it the mchicken were full of mayo so much mayo that it was disgusting I used napkins to wipe it off I noticed the mchicken were extremely burnt and crunchy like if they cooked it fast. Fast forward a few hours and I woke up throwing up and with diarrhea and stomach cramps that has not gone away. I am positive that this was due to the mchicken not being cooked properly by the workers. Since I had not eaten anything for hours before the mchicken. Read More

Despite the government shutdown, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will resume inspections of high-risk foods -- such as some produce and cheese -- as early as today, January 15.   Food inspections by the agency are exclusively funded by taxpayer money and such work was halted as a result of the closure, which began on December 22.   Read more...

U.S. FDA warns consumers of Salmonella presence in dog food

If you have  A+ Answers Straight Beef Formula for Dogs from Lot 2018 20/08 20, federal health officials are telling you to throw it away in a secure container where other animals, including wildlife, cannot access it. The company that owns the brand has recalled the affected lot in Nebraska, but has not implemented a nationwide recall. Pet foods contaminated with pathogens such as Salmonella are of particular public health importance because they can affect both human and animal health. Pets can get sick from Salmonella, and may also be carriers of the bacteria and pass it onto their human companions without appearing to be ill, according to FDA. Read more...

Food poisoning linked to romaine in U.S. ends

Two clusters of people who ate romaine lettuce at restaurants and got food poisoning played a critical role in the U.S. federal government identifying a large outbreak of E. coli infections that now appears to be over. An investigation published on January 9 by the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicated that romaine lettuce from the Central Coastal growing regions of northern and central California was the likely source of the outbreak, and that ill people reported eating different types of romaine lettuce in several restaurants and at home. The public health alert was first announced a few days before Thanksgiving with a warning for consumers to stay away from all romaine lettuce while a probe was conducted to search for the source of the bacteria.
