Little Hatch’s ready to eat foods - Health Alert due to Listeria Contamination

3 years ago source fda.gov

Recall notice

United States

The FDA issued a public health alert for Little Hatch’s ready-to-eat foods: Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip, Queso, Spicy Queso, Roasted Chili Salsa Medium and Roasted Chili Salsa Hot by Interstate Food Products, LLC due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Affected products are:
- Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip (13.5 oz or 14 oz)
- Queso (13.5 oz)
- Spicy Queso (13.5 oz)
- Roasted Chili Salsa Medium (13.5 oz)
- Roasted Chili Salsa Hot (13.5 oz)

Little Hatch’s products are manufactured by Interstate Food Products, LLC and distributed to:
- Whole Foods Market Distribution Center, Denver, CO
- Whole Foods Market Rocky Mountain Regional states – CO, KS, MO, NM, UT, TX, WY
- Natural Grocers, Denver, CO
- Lucky Market, Denver, CO

The FDA is issuing this alert after published 2 recalls on May 20 and May 28, 2021, because the agency is concerned with the firm’s ongoing Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The FDA is continuing its efforts to remove Little Hatch’s products from the market and advises consumers to not purchase or consume them.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
