Late morning Wed Nov 22nd, I purchased a 12 piece cheesecake sampler platter from the bakery. At approximately 1 pm I ate one piece from the platter. I was in my home where I am caring for my bedridden mother with end stage Alzheimers and was busy

for rest of afternoon caring for her, so didn't get to eat anything else. By about 6 pm I was able to take a break and eat something. But the only thing that sounded good was Quaker oatmeal. I felt like I was getting a tummy bug but was able to get the oatmeal. By 8 pm I was having horrific cramping in the descending colon area on my left side. I went to bed at 9 pm and couldn't get to sleep because the cramping had gotten worse. By 10 pm I was laying on the floor next to my bed trying to find a sweet spot position that would help alleviate some of the cramping. By 11 pm I was in the bathroom and spent the next 3 hours either on the toilet or on the floor with the bathroom window wide open because I was drenched in sweat. My cheek was pressed on the cold tile, which can only feel good in a situation like this. Things finally hit around 2 a.m., alternating between vomiting and diarrhea. It continued to hit for the next hour at which point I finally got a couple of hours sleep. Woke up at 5 a.m. to go check on my mom and although the cramping had stopped, the diarrhea had not and continued lightly until mid afternoon today (Thursday, Nov 22nd). The only other thing I had eaten prior to the cheesecake was a dry bagel, a banana and a cup of black coffee at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. I kept the cheesecake sampler platter in my fridge in the event you want any information from it.
And just in case anyone from Walmart is reading this, they were supposed to have removed all romaine lettuce from their stores due to the CDC alert, yet they still had plenty of their remade packaged salads in the deli area. I typically buy the Apple and Walnut salad but after reading the ingredients, which clearly stated romaine lettuce, I did not purchase.
