Potential Hepatitis A exposure linked to Starbucks in Gloucester Township, NJ

The Camden County Health Department is investigating a possible hepatitis A exposure after having been notified by a health care provider that a food handler employed at a Starbucks at 1490 Blackwood Clementon Road in Gloucester Township tested positive for hepatitis A and worked through the infectious period.
The Department of Health recommends those who have visited the Starbucks located on 1490 Blackwood Clementon Road in Gloucester Township on Nov. 4,5,6, 11, 12 and 13 to have the hepatitis A vaccine and/or immune globulin that can reduce the risk of acquiring the disease. Individuals should receive the vaccine as soon as possible but no later than 14 days after contact.
If you are experiencing Hepatitis A symptoms like fever, jaundice, nausea, clay-colored stool, dark urine, malaise, abdominal discomfort, or vomiting, it is important to report it. - comments: found no hot water at multiple handwashing sinks throughout the facility at time of inspection. Water is at 85f in the rear employee restroom, 60f in the breakroom, 57f in the public... family restroom, and 70-80f in the mens public restroom. Must provide hot water with a minimum temperature of 100 f and maximum of 120 f at all handwashing sinks. Priority violation 7-38-030(c). Citation issued.

- comments: observed missing handwashing signage at both front and rear employee restroom handwashing sinks. Must provide.

- comments: found a mold-like substance growing on the gaskets of the 2-door true cooler located inside starbucks. Must clean and maintain.
51. Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices
- comments: found low pressure at the breakroom handwashing sink. Found the front employee restroom handwashing sink to be slow draining. Found the 1st handwashing sink on the right in the womens restroom to be inoperable. Must repair all handwashing sinks and maintain.

- comments: found old spilled milk underneath the milk racks in the dairy walk-in cooler. Must clean and maintain.

I ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew, an hour and a half after drinking it I developed food poisoning. Uncontrollable diarrhea and abdominal cramps. I went to the wawa store around 7:30 pm. I ordered a hoagie and a 16oz strawberry cheesecake smoothie. After paying for my receipt, I left the store without grabbing my food. I was very distracted. Once I got home I realized that I didn’t have the... food or drink. I went back to the store and the employees all seemed agitated with me. They said they were going to make my sandwich again, but I don’t think they remade the smoothie . The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 1,464 pounds of chicken alfredo pizza by Kettle River Products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains wheat, which is not declared on the product label. This product was shipped to retail and restaurant locations, as well... as fundraiser programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The recalled product is:
- 12-inch, 25-oz. plastic-wrapped “KETTLE RIVER Chicken Alfredo Pizza” with lot codes “21343, 21349, 21362 or 22011” stamped on the bottom of the product packaging.
This product was produced on various dates between Dec. 9, 2021 through Jan. 3, 2022. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers. If you have an allergy to wheat do not eat it, it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.

The error was discovered after consumers contacted the company and reported finding the white candy pieces mixed with Lily’s Peppermint Flavor Baking Chips. We have determined that the error occurred at a co-manufacturer. The white disc-shaped candy pieces contain soy lecithin, sugar, and other ingredients that are not present in Lily’s Peppermint Flavor chips. Individuals with a severe allergy to soy should not consume this product.
There have been no reports of illness or injury, to date.
