Steak Food Poisoning

Steaks from both expensive steakhouses or grocery stores can cause food poisoning. Undercooked steak poses a high risk of bacterial infections caused by campylobacter, E.coli, listeria, salmonella, and more. Symptoms for steak food poisoning can include vomiting, cramps, and bloody diarrhea.

Had Freddy's for lunch, double bacon steakburger and a custard shake. Started getting body aches, gut pain and light headedness about 2 hours after eating. Did not eat dinner, had chills, and slight fever. Went to bed at 9pm woke up at 2am sweating with bad body aches.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Fever, Chills, Sweating, Body Ache

holiday but the steak we had at Nestor’s was the only difference. We ate around 7pm and I was violently sick from 2am with diarrhoea, chills and stomach cramp so bad I’ve been doubled over in pain. - comments: observed frozen chicken stored in plastic grocery bags in the 1-door freezer. Management instructed to use proper food-grade storage bags and containers only.

48. Warewashing facilities: installed, maintained & used; test strips
- comments: observed no chemical test kit available during inspection. Instructed manager to provide test kit for proper concentration in sanitizing solutions. Priority foundation 7-38-005 citation issued.

53. Toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, & cleaned
- comments: observed no covered receptacle in the public/employee toilet room. Instructed to provided and maintain.

wasn't able to finish my half of the sub, too much whiz for me, but my husband finished his...hence most likely the reason his symptoms lasted hrs well beyond mine. We checked with other family who we had eaten with at a different restaurant same day. None of them were sick, and this is the only other place we had eaten from earlier in the day. Unfortunately, we do not live in the Fairfax area, and the original packaging was left in the hotel trash can. I've noticed multiple restaurants in the area reporting illnesses.
