my hands. I was just trying to determine the sodium content, so I had to flip the package over because I couldn't find the information on the top. All of the chicken was poorly wrapped. When I confronted the manager on duty, he said the chicken was packaged elsewhere and was not their responsibility. I believe it is their responsibility because they stocked their shelves looking like that and saw no issue, and did not double-wrap the packages with additional cellophane. Unfortunately, after chicken juice spilled on me, I didn't think to take a picture (and my hands were potentially covered in something that can cause a disease at that point). I tried to find a sanitation station and all I could find was a pump for hand sanitizer that just ended up spreading the chicken juice and making my hands feel even worse. I walked back to the front of the store, searching for a sanitizing cloth and found an almost-empty station at the entrance to the store. Suffice it to say, by that point, I felt I had already contaminated my things and still felt unclean. I believe the employees of this store, including those in the meat department, have not received proper food handling certification. I believe they are - willfully or not - creating hazardous conditions ripe for disease. I think the health department needs to look into this. There is no reason why employees who handle raw meat should not be certified to know the dangers of raw meat. I had a food handler's certification and I know that what I saw was not okay by any means.
