Onion Food Poisoning

Onions can be a source of food poisoning. In 2021, onions were recalled after causing a Salmonella outbreak affecting more than 1,000 individuals in the US. A Salmonella infection often occurs 12-72 hours after consumption, and is associated with stomach cramps and diarrhea.

Ate vegetarian rice bowl from union square chipotle at 1 pm and got severe food poisoning 3 hours later. Vomiting diarrhea chills extreme pain. Unbearable . Ate a 6 inch Subway sandwich with ham, American cheese, lettuce, onions, mayo, and mustard along with a water bottle. This was approximately 12:30pm PST on 4/20/24. Ate nothing else today and the symptoms hit like a bus 3-4 hours later. tech on Sunday I had excruciating stomach pains, and I also had diarrhea, very bad nauseated and could not control my bowels. and has not had any symptoms. We had a veggie pizza with olives artichokes onions garlic and tomato on it and we were both violently sick for about 12 hours.
