If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider; check to see if you have recalled products; and do not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the affected product are advised to contact their retailer.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.

In case you are experiencing Salmonella symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

Taco Bell, Broadview Road, Parma, OH, USA

1 year ago reported by user-hkvj3679

I asked my boyfriend what he wanted for a late lunch or early dinner when he got home cause I wasn't able to eat lunch today and needed something to eat fast before taking my medicine I take and have taken daily for over 6 months now … See More
with no issues and the things I'm experiencing aren't even side effects of this medicine. He wanted to get the Mexican pizza and a few other things as it recently came back and he told me to eat as he will be home later and to put his in the fridge. I did that which means I ate about 1 and a half soft tacos and half of the potatoes and I immediately began sweating right after eating within the hour! I started thinking maybe it was bad food but thought I had heard it takes much longer to develop any issues from food poisoning and it was in my head. I took my dog outside in my backyard and sat down and it still got worse and worse followed by these horrific pains. I have a pretty strong tolerance for pain and yet found myself almost yelling from the instant burn in my stomach. I know its "Mexican food" but I regularly eat way spicier food than that and didn't even use any hot sauce or anything so I knew something was wrong. I am a immune compromised person so I wish I had looked on here and saw how dumb it was to eat at a place that seemingly has so many issues in regards to preparing their food properly and safely. Food poisoning likely via Staph I am finding out through here and otherwise because of the early onset of symptoms can be serious because of my bodys inability to properly fight off things like this means I'm down for at least a few days potentially - possible hospitalization and I will be so upset if eating fast food causes that! Its so upsetting I just wish my body was normal sometimes. I had to force myself to eat a piece of bread just in case after going to the bathroom to make sure something was in my stomach to take my medicine with. I keep checking my temperature and though its cool in my house I feel hot and sweaty still and no fever yet but im sure its coming. update: about 2 hours after eating fever of 100.3**** I am embarrassed sharing this because I know many may find it dumb to complain about how food is prepared at a fast food place but there is a HUGE line between those who expect gourmet service from a cheap establishment and someone not expecting a frigging chain as large as them to not make you physically ill! Its frigging ridiculous. I know they won't miss my business cause I never eat there and unfortunately I had to throw the rest of it away as I'm not risking my bf coming down with whatever the hell this is too. But I wanted to not only keep him safe but since TB and powers that be won't inform the public of these incidences I figured I'd add my voice to the many on here and hopefully keep more in my neighborhood safe. We need to do better and expect better in this country and stop bullying and blaming each other "to know better" than to trust these billion dollar corporate fat cat businesses with our safety? Really? I think its easier to expect them to not regularly poison their customers but yeah we can just keep trying to avoid the abuse instead. I digress. I hope this helps. Be well everyone.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Chills, Sweating, Stomach Pain

Seattle & King County Public Health announced that they have received multiple reports of people getting sick with norovirus-like illness (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) after eating raw oysters in restaurants. In just March alone, they have received reports of 13 people whose illnesses they believe are linked … See More
to eating raw oysters. An additional 14 people became sick after being in close contact with the ill people who ate oysters. Most of the additional illnesses are among family members.

Eating raw oysters can make you sick because they can be contaminated with norovirus and other germs. While norovirus is not typically a serious illness for healthy people, it can be very unpleasant. In addition, it’s highly contagious, meaning someone who has been infected with norovirus after eating raw oysters can easily pass the virus to their family and friends.

Some oysters linked to the illnesses reported in King County now appear to have come from a batch of oysters harvested in British Columbia, which have since been recalled due to norovirus contamination. The origin of other oysters linked to recent norovirus cases in King County is unknown at this time. Regardless of where an oyster was harvested it poses a high risk of carrying norovirus.

Public Health advises the following to reduce the risk of norovirus:
- Wash hands, cutting boards, and counters used for shellfish preparation immediately after use to avoid cross contaminating other foods. And, as general advice to prevent the spread of norovirus, wash hands thoroughly with soap after using the bathroom or changing diapers, and before preparing any food or eating.
- If you’ve been sick with norovirus, wait at least 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhea before preparing any food for others.
- Oysters have long been recognized as a source of norovirus. Raw or undercooked oysters are a particular problem. Protect yourself and reduce your risk by choosing fully cooked oysters that have been thoroughly fried, baked, or made into a stew that has reached 145°F. Use a thermometer to check.
- Avoid eating raw oysters like oyster shooters and oysters on the half shell. Adding hot sauce or lemon to oysters does not kill the virus.

Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap frequently. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.

In case you are experiencing Norovirus symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
